Ryan O’Neal, the boyish leading man who kicked off an extraordinary 1970s run in Hollywood with his Oscar-nominated turn as the Harvard preppie Oliver in the legendary romantic tearjerker Love Story, has died. He was 82.

I feel bad about Ryan O’Neal. I think he could be a schmuck, but he was also very talented and I think he was good to Farrah when she was sick. I remember going to see Love Story at the movie theater and just sobbing at the end.

I agree, he definitely could be a schmuck. I believe he was good to Farrah when she was so desperately ill and she was probably the love of his life. However, he wasn't the best dad, as evidenced by the problems with 3 of his children. His son, Patrick by Leigh Taylor Young, is the only one I think didn't have drug problems. I know it's not always the parents fault and perhaps it was just bad genes.

I remember being in 8th grade Spanish class, with my textbook open and the book "Love Story" opened inside of it. I finished the book and burst out in tears. The teacher sent me to the nurse's office not knowing I wasn't reading the Spanish textbook!

Frank Wycheck passed away at 52 (probably due to complications from CTE.) He was a beloved Tennessee Titans football player. Several years ago, before he had to retire from talk radio, he spoke of what he was going through.

Whenever these players suffer from CTE, it makes me think of Coach Sean.
