New Cathe's - why no upper body?

I got my new Cathe's on Monday and was very excited, they look great! I noticed though that it's all cardio, all total body, or all lower body and that there's not one single upper body only workout. I realize there might be pre-mix in there somewhere from one of the total body workouts but still, the two lower body workouts and NO upper body workout puzzled me. Any thoughts on this?

Maybe because her last series was so upper body heavy???

I agree with Emily. XTrain had two upper body split DVDs and a 3rd total upper body DVD. That's why, I suspect, this new series is lower body intensive.

Well, I know she said a couple times that this wasn't meant to be a "series", just individual workouts, hence the reason they're packaged separately, there's no guidebook, etc... so maybe she just didn't feel like it? Or, like the last poster said, maybe because XTrain was so upper body heavy.

I agree with that idea, but I have to say that after doing Flex Train, I found that workout to be mostly upper body endurance. It does have some lower body, but those sections are mostly compound work in conjunction with the upper body.

I think she should have at least done one upper body because not everyone bought the last series.

I think she is not thinking of these as a group - they are individual DVD's so that people can buy what they like need and if you need upper body focused DVD's she has quite the assortment to choose from in her overall DVD collection.

I think it's tough for her to please everyone. But so far I'm loving these!

Yes it is hard to please everyone but instead of doing 2 lower body ones she could have done one lower body and one upper body workout.

Thanks for all the insight, everyone. I missed the last series she released (first time ever!) so the perspective on that series helps me with this one...I always didn't realize these were intended to NOT be a series but just individual workouts.

It seems that more women want lower body workouts than upper body ones, so they probably sell better. I've never been able to figure that out since the upper arms are a problem area for many women, including me.

I loved Burn Sets, but wanted a similar lower body workout. I ended up using the standing portion of GS Legs, but did it Burn Sets style.
