OT - Please keep my dogs in your thoughts

Three of my dogs are extremely ill. They eat and eat and eat and continue to lose weight and are now dangerously thin. The vet (and 2 specialists) have tested and tried different medications and have not been able to come up with a good diagnosis. Today I took my dogs and dropped them off at the vet's. They are going to be staying there for awhile to see if just a change of environment helps as we are totally baffled. Please keep them in your thoughts and hope that they start gaining weight. I will be devastated if I lose them as my dogs are my everything. FWIW, I have 4 other dogs at home who are doing just fine, which is another baffling element of this story. When I dropped the dogs at the vet's this morning, they were not happy. I told them to think of it as Sleep Away Camp. I will, of course, be visiting them every day. I am very frightened.

Oh jeez! Sorry to hear that! I hope the vet finds something and quickly. I couldn't imagine watching my furkids go through that! Thoughts and prayers for them and you.

I also hope they find out what would cause such a thing:?( Are they all different breeds? maybe something that they have in common?

My aunt's dog had the same affliction for a long time! She ate everything and would destroy anything that stood between her and some potential food. But she only lost weight, lost all of her hair and started breaking out in sores.

Eventually one vet started treating her for every worm/parasite he could think of, and they kept treating her for 6 months or longer. She is now fine.

I hope you guys find out what is wrong! Take care Always so scary.

I wish your babies the very, very best. It sounds like they are sweet babies and they're sad about going to the vet. Give them love and hugs from all of us!
