Check-in: 30 min barre from the Dailey Method. I've never been to a Dailey Method studio, but I am on their email list, and recently got an invitation to a 10-day green smoothie challenge. The challenge pdf had a link to this barre session. Sure wish there was a Dailey Method studio nearby. The closest is in Campbell, about 75 min away. There had been one in Morgan Hill and I had been hoping to go there when the pandemic is over, but it no longer exists

In case anyone else puts spinach into smoothies, I learned this method getting the spinach smooth instead of leafy chunks. It really works, and I don't have a fancy high-powered blender. Mine is Hamilton Beach from Walmart. Put the liquid and the spinach into the blender first and zap them until smooth, then add the other ingredients.

barre3 45 minutes. Got my bone density test back. Same as 2 years ago. Still osteopenic. I was bummed as I had added more calcium and more weight training, but no improvement. Guess I have to add more of both.

Cynthia, I once went to a Dailey method studio in Boulder. The class was very hard as I recall. They made a big deal that Sadie Lincoln trained with Jill Dailey when I mentioned I did barre3. barre3 has gotten a lot harder, but less traditional barre.

Lynn, wow, you would never know, from the original barre3 DVDs, that Sadie got anywhere near Jill.

I enjoyed the Dailey video so much yesterday that I'm going to substitute barre for the Muscle Burns Fat workouts that I don't like, which are the abs circuits and "power ignite," which I did today but no mas. It's done as fast as you can - not my style. I had to chuckle that the first move is obviously a kettlebell swing done with 2 dumbbells going to the sides and up to eye level. All the cues - don't bend your knees too much, keep core straight and back tight, thrust hips - are kettlebell cues. I have read that the owner of beachbody forbids kettlebells. I do really like the 3 weightlifting workouts and the stretch/recovery. This should be good. I have noticed that I can't do barre every day all the time without getting complaints from various body parts.

HI Everyone!

I had a busy day. I wasn't able to get a workout in but I did get my steps in. I have been having issues with my phone not charging. They are sending me a replacement/warranty phone. I don't know if I will get it tomorrow or Tuesday. I may not be able to count my steps for a couple of days.

Muscle Burns Fat, week 2

Last night at bedtime I did the last day of week 1, Dynamic Recovery.

Today: Lower Body Burn. I ignored the jumping and was quite pleased with the weight work.
