Time: 56 minutes

The format of the workout:

~ 6:30 – Warm-up
~ 10:00 – Over/Under intervals (1 minute under threshold / 1 minute over)
~ 3:00 – Recovery
~ 8:00 – Climb 1
~ 4:00 – Recovery
~ 8:00 – Climb 2
~ 4:00 – Recovery
~ 8:00 – Climb 3
~ 3:00 – Warm down

I originally bought the original version of this workout, which was produced in 2010. I thought it was okay, but it was not my favorite. I liked the music, but the format (hills) is not my favorite, and when you add that to the older footage and graphics, this didn't call to me.

However, they recently released a new version of the workout. The format is exactly the same, and most of the music is the same. But the footage is all new, and more interesting, plus it is in HD. The graphics are prettier and the overall workout is 8 minutes shorter because there is less fluff at the beginning and end.

I liked the workout much more when I did the newer version. I probably won't ever use the old version anymore.

The music in this is great. It is nothing you have heard of most likely, but it is all real indie music, mostly of the alternative genre.

Instructor Comments:
I love, love, love The Sufferfest videos. There is no instructor, you are coached thru text on the screen. There is usually a fun story about the race while you are riding. These workouts push you, but you can always make your own rules.
