A surprising find -- a Patrick workout that I actually like! I'm not a Patrick groupie (as it seems that others who posted reviews might be!). I previously owned Lean Hot Body, but I started to develop a high dread factor around it. I've also tried his dance and step videos and found them far too intricate to be effective workouts. I inexplicably bought Extreme Calorie Burn anyway -- and I'm really glad I did! I've only done it one time, but the workout flew by and it was so much more fun than LHB. The moves are very creative without being fussy. It didn't feel like there was as much downtime as in LHB, either, which I really liked. I'd agree with other reviewers that you really have to tighten your core, or else you risk injury to your lower back. I'd also say that he doesn't break down the moves very much (which I personally like, but others may not). My only major complaints are that (1) the cardio intervals are too short at only 1 minute in length and (2) the workout overall is too long at 1 hr and 18 min, so it is too hard to fit into my current schedule. Otherwise, it's a solid and enjoyable workout that I recommend.
