I recently did a lot of trading and was looking for some wish list items that might be easy to come by. I had been quasi interested in this workout for quite awhile. I wasn't willing to buy it because I was afraid it would be lame and not very good. I don't know why; that was just my impression.

And, it was a pleasant surprise to try this workout. I really enjoyed it and will keep it as a Leslie alternative. There are three sections - Doo Wop, Latin and Old School Funk. They each have their own "flavor", but all seemed to be simple cardio moves with a dancey flair (as opposed to being a dance workout). My heartrate got up; it's an easy workout that works you harder than you think. At least, it was for me.

Jane is in a studio with multiple background exercisers. Not all of them are older, but several of them were. She teaches the combinations using TIFTing. It wasn't constant as with some of Petra's workouts, but more than someone who teaches moves and the moves on. The music is provided by a live doo wop group who are in the room playing the music. (Jane comments at one point that it's led by her boyfriend.) The music is appropriate in each section and it's all instrumental.

Jane seemed incredibly relaxed and natural. She gives form pointers, suggestions for alternative moves, encouragement to do what you can, and off-the-cuff remarks on a variety of subjects. I enjoyed it the one time I did the workout; I don't know how the commentary will sit with me over time.

I did not do the meditation section, so I can't tell you anything about that.

Instructor Comments:
I really liked her in this workout.
