This is Richard's only step video.
It begins with Richard explaining good form - full foot on the step, when step height
should be increased, etc.
Then the warmup begins. Surprisingly, this is done without a step. He leads four
women and one man in a few minutes of floor aerobics and stretches.
Richard teaches the first few step moves and then turns it over to Ronnie and Laura,
who alternate teaching the more "advanced moves". There are no step combinations,
just ultra-basic step moves. Their idea of "adding on" is to add a clap.
Richard teaches floor moves in between the step segments.
The workout ends with a brief series of stretches on the step, then more stretches
on the floor.
The music is soft instrumental.
The back of the box states "45 minutes" but I think that must be including
his form pointers. The actual stepping time seemed short.
I love Richard, but I didn't care for this video at all. This step routine would
be good for an absolute (never stepped at all before) beginner, but I don't think
it would work for anyone else, even someone looking for a light day. The moves
are taught much too slowly.
Instructor Comments:
Richard is his usually goofy, enthusiastic self. He is having fun and will occasionally
yell out silly things like "I wish this tape was three hours long!"
