I tried this workout once, and then sold it. So, my review is based on doing it that once, a couple of months ago.

I love most of the other workouts in this set. But I have other Pilates workouts that give me a good workout, and that I enjoy more. That is why I traded this one.

I would call this an intermediate level Pilates workout. It doesn’t include enough instruction and form pointers for a beginner, but she generally does easier versions of exercises, then does a few more reps of a tougher version. I didn’t really “feel” this workout when I did it or the next day. I generally feel quite “worked out” when I do my other Pilates workouts (Fit Chic, Ana Caban, Hilary Burnett, etc.).

This would be a good Pilates workout for someone who wants a more athletic, upbeat approach to Pilates, rather than the imagery of Hilary Burnett or appearance and music of Niedra Gabriel (Fit Chic). But if you’re new to Pilates, or want more a “pure” approach, skip this workout.

All the Hollywood Trainer workouts are pretty well-chaptered, which is a plus. However, I don’t usually do just a few sections of Pilates, so it didn’t really matter to me with this one. The Pilates included in the HT Ultimate Cross Training is enough HT Pilates for me.

Instructor Comments:
Jeanette is a very energetic instructor. I don’t think she was meant to teach Pilates, but would definitely take a cardio sculpt or other high-energy class with her, given the opportunity.
