Denise Austin is way too perky for me, but she seems to have a knack for putting together a "theme"workout. The country music she's chosen is fun, the dances are reasonably easy to learn and fit the music. At the end of the tape is a special section in which each of the four difficult dances is taught so you can practice before you use the tape for a workout. It's pretty easy to modify to your intensity level. Austin cues well, although in one section she starts doing her own thing and you can feel lost for a minute or two. The ab workout is solid, if brief, and completely separate from the main program, so you don't have to do it to get to the stretching.

I happened upon this video while
rooting through a bargain bin at
Walmart. I like line-dancing and
country music to a certain degree, so i
thought this might be a fun workout -
even though Denise Austin has never
been my favorite instructor.
Turns out I should have left this one in
the bargain bin.
First of all, let me say that I am very
choreographically challenged. I have
three left feet and they all liked getting
tangled as i tried to learn this workout.
There is a short instructional segment
at the very end, where Denise teaches
all of the moves, but i found it very
confusing to follow, and perhaps a tad
fast paced.
I tried to do the workout a couple of
times, but just got so frustrated that I
gave up and traded it away.
Instructor Comments:
As always - somebody took their
enthusiasm pill before starting to film
this workout. Denise is her usual
overly-perky self.
