Yoga Conditioning for Life

Yoga Conditioning for Life is an excellent yoga workout for any level. It is a beautiful production, with a stunning setting overlooking the gorgeous, blue water and spectacular sky in Hawaii. It is Rodney with 2 women participants. One participant is doing the beginner level modifications and the other is doing intermediate, while Rodney does the advanced level.

I have been doing Rodney's Power Yoga and AM Yoga workouts for a long time, and this workout was a pleasant change in that Yoga Conditioning for Life moves much more slowly and holds the poses longer than the Power Yoga and AM Yoga tapes. It begins with sun salutations, then variations of triangle and side angle poses, warrior poses, tree pose, some other standing poses, and then seated poses and stretches, including cobbler, camel, bow, backbends, bridge, and many more. There is a nice relaxation at the end.

I was impressed with the wide variety of poses that Rodney includes on this tape. I think it is one of the most comprehensive workouts that I've seen by him. It is 75 minutes long.

The only criticism I have is a minor one, and it is that Rodney says "soften the kidneys and groins." Groins or inner thighs can be relaxed voluntarily, but I am not sure about kidneys :). It does not take away from my enjoyment of the workout, however.

I highly recommend this tape to anyone who is looking for a thorough and relaxing stretch through yoga. A+

Instructor Comments:
Rodney Yee is one of my favorite yoga instructors. He has a very calming, soothing and pleasant voice, and a serene aura about him. His deep passion for yoga practice comes across and is motivating.
