Choreography 2 Go: Aerobics

Marcus Irwin
Year Released: 1999

Categories: Floor Aerobics/Hi-Lo/Dance

This hour-plus high/low workout is geared toward instructors, but is a full-length workout (minus the warmup and cooldown). It's not as advanced as his more recent Quick Fix Hi/Lo, either in choreography or intensity. It's still a fun workout, though, and Marcus makes it easy to follow even on the more tricky routines. You don't get bored, because he teaches a routine and then moves on to another one. The sound quality in this one is much better than in Quick Fix Hi/Lo (which was muffled), but I would still recommend Quick Fix over this one if you had to choose between the two. Quick Fix is more fun and offers better choreography and intensity. I still have to give this one an A, though.

Instructor Comments:
Marcus is brilliant at making complicated choreography easy, without being slow about it. His routines are athletic (as opposed to dancy) and they flow incredibly well. He builds the choreography so that the next level of complexity seems perfectly natural, and before you know it, you're doing something quite complicated. I can't think of any other instructor who can do this as well as Marcus.
