Slide to the Side

Since I always combine slide tapes and like to do some slow sliding as a warm-up, I haven't done the warm up of this tape. I only do the int/adv slide section. It is 26 minutes long and is pretty basic with no innovative choreography. Much better than the Reebok slide tape, but no where near CIA 9703.

Andre does two sections, the first is 8 basic slides with front tap, 8 with back tap, 8 with knee up, etc. He then adds some arm movements, and you do this several times. The second section is a little tougher and contains some faster sliding. You then put it all together and go through it a couple times.

This is an OK tape, I'd give it a C+, B-. There doesn't seem to be a lot of variety or innovation in slide tapes, and this is no exception. I wouldn't go out of my way to buy it, but at the same time I'm going to keep it and do it in combo with my other slide tapes.

Basic moves with int to int/adv intensity.

Instructor Comments:
Andre is a likeable enough instructor. His cueing seems to be a little off on this video. I always seem to be a step behind him. He's also pretty chatty and makes tons of comments about "Alice", who is doing the workout with him.
