Weight Watchers Points Plus Fitness Series: Cardio Core

Jennifer Cohen
Year Released: 2013

Categories: Abs/Core , Circuit Training (cardio and weights) , Lower Body Strength

Another misleading title from Weight Watchers, again trying to get my steps up I foolishly choose a title labeled Cardio. It also is mislabeled core, because I felt that it had very few actual core moves. Like the others in this series, each move starts out at the beginner level (always shown by the modifier) and then level 2 is added. Many of the level 2 moves in this one were balance challenges. With the exception of the windmill move that reminds me of a kettlebell move. There were a lot of various squats and lunges, so this leans pretty heavily toward a lower body focus rather than core. It uses light handweights, though I think you could go heavier because the moves are so slow. This one was 37 minutes for the full workout, there is a beginner option and an express option available, but they use the footage all found in full workout.

Instructor Comments:
Jennifer was the same in this as she has been in the others I reviewed, I just don’t click with her style.
