This workout has already been broken down extensively, so I'll just add my impression. First, I really liked this workout! I usually work out between 4 and 4:30am, so my brain is not quite ready for complex choreography, although that's my preference if I'm working out in the evening. I feel that the choreography was mostly athletic, but interesting enough that I don't get bored. That makes it the perfect AM workout for me! There was a heavy emphasis on working the lower body through lunges off the step, leg raises, fast feet onto the step, etc., while still keeping the cardio factor high. I liked that there was always a cue at the bottom of the screen that showed when the workout was going to change intensities, so that I could mentally prepare myself. I also liked the plank series at the end. The one thing I didn't like was the pushup section. I felt that her arms were too wide apart, and I didn't really feel the pushups in my chest. I felt them more in my shoulders, which is not good for me.

All in all, this dvd is a keeper for me, and I hope that Tracie puts out more step in the future!

Instructor Comments:
Tracie has a warm, professional personality. She gave very good form pointers for step, such as rolling off your back foot, ensuring your foot was completely on the step (which is good for me, as I sometimes find that my heels hang off the step), offering low impact options throughout, and advising where it would be good to up the impact, if that was your preference. Although some people have criticized her cueing, I thought her cueing was spot on. I did not have a problem following along at all.
