A question on the Reader Forum prompted me to try this
video again, which I bought years and years ago. It was
made in 1985, and probably before 'real' workout music
was mixed. The music is a little loud and a little hokey,
but really seems to fit the workout. I think I ordered
this from the form in the 1986 Rubber Band Workout book
for $39.95.
The video begins with a 5-minute warmup and a
5-minute stretch. Rubber bands are used (although you
could use a Dynaband) for a 28-minute total body workout.
Biceps-triceps-shoulders-back-chest: 2 sets of 8 reps
each.
Situps-outer thigh-inner thigh-reverse curls: 2 sets
of 12-16 reps (each side).
Outer
high-abs-quads-obliques-hamstrings-buttocks-shin/calf: 2
sets of 8-16 reps.
The video concludes with a very thorough and relaxing
flexibility (stretch) section using the rubber bands. I
know it's old, but I think this is a very good
alternative to a weight workout on a light day. I'm a
little sore after doing this yesterday. I'm just not sure
if it's still available -- maybe through Webb
International.
Even 12 years ago, Tamilee was great at cuing and
giving form pointers. This was probably her very first
video, and she hasn't quite developed her muscular body
and what she calls her 'bubble' butt yet! The workout is
introduced by Dr. Art Ulene. The other exercisers are one
male and a female who doesn't use a band.
