Buns of Steel 3

This is a killer leg workout. Tamilee really knows how to work your lower body -- sometimes more than you want to! The first part is standing work, followed by floor. You'll want to use ankle weights for the floor work. The total workout, including a warm-up and cool-down stretch is about 40 minutes. It goes by pretty quick, even though it's all legs/buns. I especially like the floor work; it's great for outer and inner thighs. The hamstring work leaves a little to be desired. You're lying on your stomach and curling your leg. It's okay, but I think other exercises are sometimes more effective for hamstrings.

Tamilee often gets off beat in this video, but since it's a toning workout and not aerobics, it doesn't mess you up too much. She gives excellent form pointers.

Overall, I give this tape a B, maybe B+. The workout itself probably rates an A, but "fun-ness" is only a C.

This is a great workout for the lower body. I did this video faithfully for about two months, but I got tired of it very quickly. The quality of the video is pretty bad, and the music is just the faint sound of a 1980's Casio keyboard in the background. I recommend this video if you use it once in a while, because it just isn't fun enough to get you up in the morning.

Instructor comments: Tamilee is great. She is very mellow and explains everything you are doing in the workout very thouroughly. I love the fact that she isn't obnoxiuos and overly hyper like most work out instructers.
