As Sleek As Possible: Sculpt

Paul Katami

As part of the A.S.A.P. Fitness series, Sculpt is an approximate 43 minute workout using the step, medicine ball and a set of hand weights. (2 modifiers use no step and demonstrate easier ways to perform the moves) Paul demonstrates the moves and adds to it to increase intensity. Using big muscle groups and a controlled faster pace ensure a cardio benefit as well. (AWT, aerobic weight training, at its best) Functional and dynamic exercises will tone the body and work the heart. Lots of rotation moves will tighten and tone the core. Paul blends upper body and lower body moves together, such as a double time squat and unilateral bicep curl. These compound moves ensure a total body workout in less time. Paul also works your balance with such moves as performing a shoulder press while standing on the step with 1 leg only.

All the exercises flow together and will enhance your functional fitness. (making everyday activities seem easier)

Paul does several sets of each exercise. (usually performing all reps of each exercise back to back in giant sets and then running through the whole thing again)

At about the 36 minute mark, you'll finally slow down for chest work on the bench. Paul finishes off the workout with a much deserved stretch.

This workout is for all levels, as beginners can follow the modifiers and more advanced participants can follow Paul for a tough workout.
