The Ultimate Tae Bo Tapes are a compilation of the best segments from Tae Bo TV (which aired awhile back on PPV/Satellite T.V.) the Get Ripped series, and the original mix of tapes.

The following abbreviations may appear at the beginning of a new "segment" in the review below. These abbreviations indicate which Tae Bo TV or Get Ripped tape the segments came from:

"TB TV" (followed by advanced or basic) indicates that the following segment is from a past Tae Bo T.V. workout.

"GR" (followed by advanced or basic) indicates that this segment is a clip from a Tae Bo Get Ripped video. The "GR" indication may also be followed by a color, indicating the color of the Get Ripped VCR tape box for easy identification purposes.

"AL" or "BL" indicates this clip is from an original Advanced Live tape, or Basic Live tape.

A workout number (if applicable) follows to indicate which tape number it is in the appropriate series. Tae Bo TV tapes are in sequential order of filmings, the other tapes are in order of release.

If the reviewer is not sure what tape the clip is from, he/she has indicated so.

Turn head left and right then back and front
Right Shoulder Roll/ Left Shoulder Roll/ Both Shoulders Roll
Shift side to side standing center
Stretch left (right hand over the head)
Stretch right (left hand over the head)
Reach out in front
Half circle with the arms right and left
Hold right (arms out straight pull left arm in as left leg comes in)
Hold left (arms out straight pull right arm in as right leg comes in)
Deep Breaths center
Step touch center elbows together
Move step touch forward 2 steps and back 2 steps
Right and Left Cross center (slow)
Switch to Uppercuts
Runner's stretch left-lift and press the heel
Stretch down the center- hands reaching to the ankles
Runner's stretch right-lift and press the heel
Back to center and take the head over to the left knee, head over to the right knee and back to center
Walk the feet in

TB TV ADVANCED #5

Twist the waist left and right standing center elbows down at the side. Slow it down and twist slow. Then twist fast again.
Twist side to side with the elbows up to the side like an L (twist all the way to the left turning the hips then all the way to the right turning the hips)
Back to center- twist fast again elbows down at side
Elbows up in an L and twist side to side again- all the way to the left and all the way to the right turning the hips)
Back to center- twist fast again elbows down
Then twist Super Fast (double time) 3 sets

Speed Bag Jab left hand
Speed Bag right hand- shift all the weight back onto the left leg and hold
Reverse Speed Bag

Left knee raise to the side (slow then double time)
Right knee raise to the side (slow then double time)

Right leg out Right arm up and Left leg out Left arm up- shifting weight side to side

Left leg out in front foot flexed- hands at side of head- contract the stomach
Hold contracted and then do little pulses from that position

Little skip to the front (left leg out in front, right leg out in front) Right arm straight out to the side Left arm up to the ceiling- bring the left arm down and shift the left hip up.
Hold with elbow down to hip, Add the knee raise (slow then double time)
Other side- left arm straight out and right arm up to the ceiling- right knee raise out to the side (slow then double time)

Lift Left Leg straight out to the side- then hold it up
Lift Right Leg straight out to the side- then hold it up

Left Knee up to the Center then Left Knee up to the right (alternating)
Right Knee up to the Center and then Right Knee up to the side
Center Step Knee Raise left (step right lift left knee-arms go side to side bringing knee up to finger tips)
Add Double Knee
Add tap and turn left (left knee raise front tap right then turn left and lift left knee tap right back to center)
Turn that into a left Front Kick
Center Step Knee Raise right (step left lift right knee-add a left
Cross- then add both arms punching center)
Add Double Knee (take hand to uppercuts)
Add tap and turn right (right knee raise front tap left then turn right and lift right knee tap left back to center)
Turn into a right Front Kick
Alternating Front Kicks Corner to Corner
Hold to the left- Left Front Kick Right Back Kick
Other side- Right Front Kick Left Back Kick
Knee Raises Center- hands over the head pull hands down to the knee
Double Knee right then Double Knee left
2 Jabs moving left, 2 Roundhouse Kicks
2 Jabs moving right, 2 Roundhouse Kicks
High Low Jab Left
Right Uppercut (slow then fast)
High Low Jab Right Side

Roundhouse Kicks left (slow then 2 sets double time)
A break while Billy talks then Double Roundhouse Kicks again (3 sets)

Box Move- shift shoulders to the left then push shoulders back (chest forward) then shoulders to the right then shoulders forward- making a square- then slow it down super slow
Shift side to side using Abs

On the floor-
Regular crunches up and down (slow)
Hold it up and contract the Abs
Bring the knees up and crunch the upper body into the knees (knees go into chest and then down to the floor)
Double time and hold again contracting the Abs

On the floor-
Left leg straight out to the side- lift the left leg and bring the right elbow to the left knee
Hold at the top with the right elbow over to the left knee
Other side- right leg straight out to the side- lift the right leg and bring the left elbow to the right knee
Hold at the top with left elbow over to the right knee

Hands underneath the butt- bring knees into the chest then heels down to the floor
Lift the hips off the floor and push feet up to the ceiling

Up on the right elbow- cross the right knee over the left and lift the knees up while crunching the left elbow in
Other side- hold at the top then back to single lifts

On the left side- working the obliques-
lifting both knees up
crunching elbow to knees

Laying flat on back- bring left knee into the chest bring upper body off floor
Other leg- right knee into chest

Both hands reach straight up to the ceiling

Cool Down- 3 minutes

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:
This workout is for an intermediate/low advanced level pace with focus on ABS and FLOOR WORK.
