Fitness is Religion: Keep the Faith!

This book is the best overall fitness resource I have seen in a long time. Written by Madonna's personal trainer,the book is filled with advice for every level, from couch potato to competitive athlete. It includes a lot of general guidelines and ideas for getting started. The entire book is built around the basic mataphor that fitness is a sort of religion. Kybartas says that, like religion, you must commit to fitness wholeheartedly and, ultimately, believe in its power.

Another thing that I liked about this book is that it includes a section where the reader record their personal fitness stats/goals/etc and th book shows you how to calculate your own daily requirements for everything from protein to total calories. One problem: Kybartas' estimated protein requirements are a bit extreme for most people.

Overall, an excellent fitness resource for everyone. This book is not only informative and accurate, but also extremely motivating. It makes you want to go out and start your fitness program immediately!
